Best-effort conversion toward the PDF/A archival format, adding XMP metadata declaring conformance.
This is a best-effort conversion — it re-saves the PDF and adds PDF/A-style XMP metadata, but true PDF/A conformance also requires complete font embedding and restricted color spaces, which can't be fully verified in the browser. For guaranteed compliance, validate the output with a dedicated PDF/A checker.
PDF/A Settings
The XMP metadata will declare this exact part and conformance level. Levels ending in "a" require tagged/accessible PDF structure, "u" requires Unicode text mapping, "b" is the baseline (visual) level — this tool cannot verify any of those structural requirements, only declare the target.
